CML: Where are you from? And where do you live?
M.X: I came from Spain, I was born in Valencia 32 years ago and I live in Barcelona fourteen years ago because my career was so easy to start in another city most important, big and cosmopolitan than where I was born.
CML: How and when did you start djing?
M.X: I was working like a waitress in an important club in Valencia on Fridays Night and also I had two technics in my home to play for myself. The club only opened the sessions of Friday and Saturday. The first session to open on Sundays Night the resident Dj´s don´t come to work and it was my opportunity to demonstrate my technique on the decks. That´s my first set and then I starting to do my own radio show in Radio L´Horta in Valencia city.
CML: Where does your inspiration come from?
M.X: I would like have to be singer and play in a rock or pop group, but I decided to be a DJ when I was young because I think is too easy to play music of many different people and mixing all I like it.
CML: You have played all over the world. What cities are the most exciting to perform in?
M.X: I´m very exciting especially at this moment because I have a very big Tour in China. Its my first time in this country, and in Asia too. I will play in 12 different cities around China in the Hennessy Tour for 40 days, the exactly dates and places are: 30th June Mood Club (Taiyuan), 1th July Channel 9 (Hangzhou), 7th July Babyface (Qingdao), 8th July Babyface (Changsha), 14th July Le Tou (Changchun), 15th July Seven (Tianjin), 21th July Night N Sun (Shenyang), 22th July DKD (Wenzhou), 28th July SOS (Dalian), 29th July Mix (Xian), 4th August (Guangzhou) and 5th August Boss (Hong Kong).
CML: Do you have any advice for aspiring superstar DJ’s?
M.X: All the superstar DJ´s need to produce good music and the people have to like it and play a excellent set of the style of music they like it, nothing more. All this things you can obtain with many years of experience with a lot of clubs and more more work in your own Studio producing hits.
CML: What is the craziest thing that you have experience in a club?
M.X: I have enjoy so much in some clubs when I have finísh my session and all the people together shout my name and they applaud to me a couple of minutes, that´s so great and they give me so energy to do my best for them. Also, I talk with all my fans and sing more autographs.
CML: How do you see the scene developing over the next few years in Europe and America?
M.X: The most emergent style is now and for the future Electro House Music I think and the bootlegs are so funny too. Also in the Trance Music the next style will be near than Electro Trance, like Ferry Corsten productions.
CML: Who was your favorite dj when you started djing? and who is your favorite dj now, other than you?
M.X: The Spanish DJ Nando Dixkontrol, he have played more than 20 years ago and it´s so exciting to hear from him when he scratch, mix and speak with a microphone in all his sets. And actually I like so much the Japanese number 1 Yoji Biomehanika because is a showman too.
CML: What do you enjoy the most about being a dj?
M.X: The affection from all the fans to me that do I have a lot of energy to do my best sets around the World and to travel to know new and different cultures and enjoy of their countries.
CML: You result 174th in the Djmag’s Top World DJs in the 2005. What do you think about?
M.X: I´m surprising yet because never in my life I would have imagine to entry in this prestigious English list from Deejay Magazine. There are less female DJ´s inside in this results and I´m very proud to share this site with the best Dj´s in the World. I hope the next year that I will be in the results of less than 150th.
CML: Where are you playing in the upcoming months?
